The 2011 game required teams to use inflatable game pieces shaped as the FIRST logo (a triangle, circle, and square). There were three rows of three hooks, known as a grid, on which teams had to hang their pieces. If an alliance placed the Logo Pieces in the same order as the FIRST logo, that row’s points would be doubled. There was also an Ubertube which could be placed in the autonomous period in order to increase the point value of each Logo Piece. Points could also be earned at the end of a match with the Minibot race. During the last 10 seconds of a match, a Minibot could be deployed by a team, which would then have to climb a pole on the field to receive points.
