For the 2015 season, FIRST implemented a recycling theme. The field was divided in half, leaving alliances of three teams on their side of the field for the entirety of the match. To score points, teams needed to stack plastic crates, called Totes, onto designated areas called Bumps. The higher the stack, the more points were earned. To increase scores, teams could top their stacks with a Recycling Container, and could earn even more if the Recycling Container had a pool noodle in it, which represented Litter. Should the Litter fall onto the floor, however, points would be awarded to the opposing alliance.
