Our team loves everything about STEM!
We try to spread awareness about the STEM field and the FIRST Robotics program through local outreach events:
STREAMS Night 2020
We were invited to demonstrate our robots at our School District’s STREAMS Night. This night was created to spread awareness for the fields of Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics to the youth in Lindenhurst. We demonstrated our robot, Ares, our robot from the 2019 FRC game. We even allowed the kids to try driving our robot!
Safe Halloween 2019
We continued the tradition oh demonstrating our robot operating at the Lindenhurst High School’s annual Trick-or-Treat on Charles Street
This event allows us to show the younger children in our school district what we can do, while also providing a safe place for parents to take their children Trick-or-Treating indoors
STREAMS Night 2019
Our students displayed our robot and allowed younger students in the district try to drive and operate our robot during STREAMS night at the Lindenhurst Middle School
Safe Halloween 2018
Our team demonstrated the driving and operating of our robots while giving Trick-or-Treaters candy during our school’s Trick-or-Treat on Charles Street
This year, we had a theme of “Thirteen Days of Halloween”, a parody of the Christmas classic “Twelve Days of Christmas”
Zebra Technologies 2018
After sponsoring our team to go to World Championships in 2018, Zebra Technologies invited us to demonstrate what our robot was able to accomplish
Board of Education 2018
Our team demonstrated our 2018 robot, Athena, for the Lindenhurst School District Board of Education as a way to show them what we were able to accomplish with their support
Earth Day 2018
Our team returned to the Earth Day Festival at Babylon Town Hall to demonstrate our robot
We showed off our robot from the Recycle Rush game
O.L.P.H. Demonstration 2018
Our team was invited to demonstrate our robot and tell young children about the STEM field at a local church, Our Lady of Perpetual Help
We showed the students our 2017 robot, Andromeda
Boy Scout Visit 2018
We invited one of our local Boy Scout Troops to our lab to learn about STEM
Scouts learned about what it takes to make a robot and were able to try driving our 2017 robot Andromeda
Earth Day Festival 2017
Our team helped celebrate Earth Day at the Babylon Town hall
We demonstrated our robot from the 2014-2015 FRC season, Recycle Rush
We expressed the need to care about our planet while also showing off how important STEM is to us

Our team decorated our hallway with different items from “There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly!” for this year’s safe halloween
